common jokes (mistakes?) found in malaysian-made stories/series/movies

this entry was provoked when i watched Bio-Nik - tv3, setiap isnin, 9 mlm; jgn lupa tonton! [no im not condemning this series, but it was certain to provoke a critique observation] anyway kudos to KRU brothers!

1.
Scene: Nik (the main character in Bio-Nik) n his friend was driving through some kind of urban road network (more like Putrajaya - i say some sort of urban road bcoz the road ada banyak lampu jalan sepanjang jalan, n jalan2 dia sumer 6 lane!). dari siang sampai langit da gelap. lama tu!! later after an accident, it was revealed (dlm cerita tu) that they were driving on "lebuhraya timur barat" (the one that connects Kelantan and Perak through the mountains in the north, for those of you who don;t know).

Komentar: Well, the scenery along lebuhraya timur barat is very much different from an urban area lah! mana ada lampu jalan n bangunan kiri kanan jalan tu, n its jus t 2 lanes on the mountanious zones. so kalau nak simulate area lebuhraya timur barat, agak2 ler shoot la kat area yg rural sket. adoi

2.
Scene: Nik's dad (Professor Hafiz) was kinda programming n loading some sort of program on his super computer, tiptapping two keyboards at once (wow!) but on his monitor is just a screensaver which keeps repeating itself, and no matter how furiously the he taps the keyboards, the monitor keeps showing the same screensaver (i.e. no response) over n over again. he even stared intensely into the monitor, wondering why his program is not working. in the end he became pissed off because his program was not working as he wanted to.

Komentar: Well no wonder the program did not work! even the monitor did not respond to any of his keyboard taps. lol. so he either 1) need to tap more furiously 2) need more keyboards or 3)need to connect the cables correctly from the commputer to the monitor

3.
Scene: (from scene 2 above) Nik's dad was actually trying to 'program' Nik's nerves/brains/whatever, via his supercomputer. but there seems to be not even a single cable connecting his supercomputer(s) to Nik. hmmm..

Komentar: hmhmm.. probably he was using some kinda bluetooth or infrared connection?

i have nothing against local made stuff. but c'mon lah~~

hm i cant get my font size rite. haha

work sucks

The fact that its 8:23 PM on the corner of my 2 screen desktop bothers me. I’ve been at werk since 8:30 AM, thus its been a while since I’ve been out of the office (yup I didn’t go out for lunch – had it tapau’d for me hoho). Duh! As the brains of ‘The Software’ coupled with the processing power of the mighty Intel Pentium Dual Core chugs it’s way through the silence of the night, me the only soul left in office, I start to get bored. And I start to type.

Dude, wtf are you staying in the office if all you’re gonna do is type something as random as this? Well I did not want to explain, but since I’m bored, who cares. Well you see, The Software, given a certain set of numbers to process, at a certain set (and depending on the range of data given, at a certain time during it’s runs of calculations) will spew a super irritating error message, which is due to the fact that the computer is fat. No I’m lying. It’s due to the equation where there are logs all sort of equations in there which at certain numbers, they DO produce error messages. Well. To simulate in a simple way wtf I’m babbling about, try picking up your calculator. Type one billion divide by zero. MATH ERROR screams at you. Well that’s simple. But then, that IS the simple example. Anyway, I’m still guessing if any of this actually manages to explain whatever I’m trying to explain, which mean my explanation is a total waste of typing and alphabets.

Third run is ongoing – 1st run was error free but I failed to realize I did not cover the range of data required. Thus re-run. 2nd run was error messaged after like 40 minutes! Aghh! Bugging and debugging where the bugger is, 3rd run commences. So far error free. Hope it stays so. So here I am monitoring the run and praying to God Al-Mighty that it will not come across any error. Need this for tomorrow’s meeting at 9;30 AM so I better get this done tonight. Hhaha.

Hoho, so now my tummy asks for food. All I had so far today was some milo+mocha (yes the office does have a super coffee machine!! hohoho), bubur ayam McD, some krepek, some slices of yummy gardenia butter bread. Earliest I’ll be refilling poor tummy is at 10pm I guess, so be strong dear tummy!!

Arr at this time oh so do I wish I have a supercomputer to speed up these calculations.

At this times, it’s so good to have the wonderful internet free of charge hurey! So while ‘doing work’ I looked up an article on time travel. Too lazy to put up a long conclusion. Although anyone can argue ‘nothing is impossible’, and also some can say ‘duh, you must be nuts’, anyone interested should juz click the link and READ the darn article and not make preconceived statements on just whatever they think is right. As I read what I typed, looks like an old geezer typed up this whole paragraph. Huh?

Looking at mr clock chugging slowly, it’s 8:52 pM already, and I’m 34 mins into the calculation run, with no problemo so far hurey! Rethinking what was juz read in time travel, wuo, I’ve actually travelled through time! A not so distant memory ago it was 8:23 and now its 8:52!! Well, these thoughts do get cooked up and get to me when the brain is screaming go home!!! and poor tummy is screaming at the same time feed me feed me!!

Checking the clock again as it chugs tirelessly, guarding time (hahah!) 9:15PM. Checking The Software as it calculates as fast as its possibly slow ass can keep up with itself (reminds self: hey, thank God you have a new, nice n fast machine, otherwise you'll be playing cobwebs waiting for these to finish calculations!), I'm better off posting this and do Isya..
